The poor old 737 has been a bit neglected since I started my ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ adventure, so over the holiday break I decided to dust the old girl off and put some more hours on her!

KSEA – KSFO
First leg was Seattle down to San Francisco.

KSFO – MMMX

Then from San Fran, it was South to Mexico City, which I *think* is the first time I’ve been there in the sim world.

Lots of traffic departing SFO

Mexico City is **massive**

Shut down, after a late night arrival

MMMX – SKRG
A late start the next day, and it was onward, and further South, to Medellin, Colombia.   I’ve flown into Rio Negro/Medellin many times in the Simulators at ADF Airways in Miami, so it was nice to visit in one of my own sims for once!

The mountainous terrain in Colombia make a spectacular backdrop for this leg

Medellin appears out of the clouds.  We pass right over the city before turning around to start our approach from the South.

Terrain is a hazard on approach, the airport is at 7300ft, and some of the surrounding terrain is up to 11000ft!

On the ground safely

SKRG – SBCY
Next leg (underway as I write) takes us into the unknown…  Across the Andes and into Brazil.  I’ve flown around Rio de Janeiro before, and up to SBES for Skyhawk spotting, but apart from that Brazil is all new!  After a quick search on the ‘net I found heaps of nice scenery for Brazil, so I may install some and do a little exploring 🙂

Weather is not so good for sight-seeing on departure…

And here we are, up to date with this new adventure!  Soaring over the mountains of Colombia, soon crossing in to Brazil!

To be continued……..
