ZK-LES the story of a C177rg Sim

Last year I had the chance to acquire a beautifully made Cessna 177rg simulator, built with a lot of real aircraft parts, control loading and a ton of clever electronics inside.
This opportunity came up sadly because the Sim’s builder Les had terminal cancer and wanted his Sim to go to a good home.
I chose to name the Sim ZK-LES in his honor.

A work of art! Real gauges, back driven. Control Loaded Yoke, simulated GNS530

The 177 is up and running, apart from an issue with the GPS screen. It is an absolute joy to fly, and though it doesn’t have the IFR capability of the Arrow, it is most definately a good replacement for it.

Up and running next to the 737
