I’ve been on leave from work, and so made some time today to do some work, assembling all the bits and pieces of real 737-500 MIP’s I had into one good unit.

737 MIP as it has been sitting in the back of the workshop, the CDU bin has been grossly chopped up, and the glareshield is full-width
All the various modules removed to start stripping the structure.
Not a lot of the original structure left, now stripping cables, pipe work and brackets that are not needed.
Glareshield structure, gear lever (yes, they are really big!) and foot well covers removed
And this is all that’s left of the original structure, once everything has been stripped, and it’s ready to mate to the new (well… better) CDU bay.
New CDU bay, cleaned up and stripped ready to assemble.
CDU bay and original upper structure, test fitted with all modules. Ready to have the glareshield fitted.
Glareshield fitted. Looks great IMHO 🙂 FO’s caution/warning panel trimmed to create the RH MCP bracket/Glareshield mount, Glareshield trimmed to length.

Two days of holiday left… tomorrow I hope to make the right side bulkhead, which will allow the glareshield and gear lever to be supported, and held in their proper positions.  Final parts of the structure will be a left side bulkhead, to create a ‘wall’ on the left, and a bracket to support the left hand MCP bracket.
