Tonight I finished, and tested the UFC wiring, mounted the controller inside the HUD structure and reinstalled it all in the sim (And drank more wine)….
Next up I modified the panel configuration to include the virtual “buttons”, wrote the LUA scripts to activate each of the buttons and finally headed out to the sim and configured it all. (sounds easy when you say it quickly!)
The good news kept coming, the DED display is a transparent gauge so worked just like I had hoped, and similar enough to the real aircraft!
Much happiness… tomorrow night a test flight I feel!
